Went to Nagoya Hills Shopping Mall after dropping off our bags in the hotel. Saw all the pushcarts outside the mall and I got really excited. went for seafood feasting along Habour Bay, because I want to watch the sunset, I insist. Upon reaching Habour Bay, there were many other seafood restuarants and the cab driver was crazily promoting Wey Wey but we decided to follow my Google research's recommendation - Habour Bay Seafood Restaurant. Super pretty view too and odourless, unlike the previous few that we walked past. Reasonable rates too. I chose a table right by the sea, with picturesque view of the skyline, ships and even MBS. Ordered 6 dishes - sambal kangkong, hotplate toufu, Habour Bay style Grouper(super yumz!!), Chilli Crab, Salted Egg Prawns and a seafood omelette with some sauce. Food coma right after but SO MUCH SATISFACTION. Wanted to head for a massage but was too full so decided to just chill in the hotel
Day02 Decided to extend our stay by one more night because there was still things that we wanted to do and explore. Headed to the coffeeshop near our hotel for some Bak Kut Teh/Singapore prawn noodles/Wanton mee. The bkt was so good we couldn't stop refilling the soup. Headed to JC Supermarket which was just across the road, it was more like a shopping centre, abit of City Plaza/Lucky Plaza fusion. Walked around a little, got myself a monopod and my long awaited Nyonya Kebaya!!! And it was like a steal - got it at about S$40 whereas to get a set in SG costs you at least S$150. Happy girl was damn happy and we headed back to Nagoya Hills Shopping Mall for a cream bath at Salon Christopher. For about S$10, we had a hair wash, adding the cream on the hair followed by a head/shoulders/arms massage. SO GOOD. And the treatment made my hair much softer and I don't know why my hair looked darker after the session too. Walked down to the street stall for some Mie Ayam Bakso, quite yummy. OH and I had the Indo version of milk tea - iced Teh Susu. SO SUPER YUMMY I LOVE IT. It's alot of milk and sweet and damn yummy I just love it. But very different from Thai milk tea. Packed dinner from A2 Food Court beside JC Supermarket - Ayam Penyet, satay and oyster omelette. ALL DAMN YUMMY WHY FOOD WHY. Watched Night At The Museum on TV, before going to Reborn (near our hotel) for a Traditional Balinese Massage. I had to strip down to my panty, and its alot of stroking/point pressing whereas in Thai massage there's alot of stretchings and I didn't have to take off anything. Both is good though, I am not complaining. And cheap too, about S$10.
All in all, it was a short but great getaway with great company, food and massage. I need a getaway every month (dreaming on...)
day 2
