MK Restaurants

Yesterday was a rare no camp day because E got to book out on Thursday (yay!) so we could indulge in $7 student priced movies! But of course we had to fill our tummies before anything else and I suggested going to MK Restaurant at Basement 1 of 313@Somerset for our lunch.

MK Restaurant is a steamboat place, originated from Thailand. Haven't had it in a long long time, my last was probably a a kid in Bangkok. So when we reached we saw in the menu that they are having such set lunch promotion, so its like a set for 1 at $9.90 (not inclusive of gst) which is cheap?! It comes with a variety of items and of course you could do your own ala carte add ons if its not enough. We ordered 2 sets and also ala carte pork and beef because there wasn't enough meat. One thing about MK is that they have their own MK sauce, its like some sweet yummy paste with sesame seed that goes really well with steamboat. Only in MK!

We ordered 2 types of soup base, tom yum and original. Original soup tastes sweet and at first I thought it was sukiyaki bu the waiter told me uts actually vegetable soup! And the tom yum was good. The soup was very thick and yummy and E was like "wah damn nice" at his very first mouth hahaha. There's an additional $4.90 charge for the tomyum  soup base though, but it's worth it, trust me. Both of us were crazily slurping away and undulging iur yummy meal. The service there were really good too, the staffs were really nice always clearing items for us and helping us with our orders and replying really promptly to our calls for refills of soup and water.  For those who want something extra, they do have food like krah pow moo and green curry etc available.

At the end of our meal, they even gave us a VIP card which entitle us 10% OFF our future bills. Already looking forward to my next visit!
