Di Tanjong Katong (and a little good news!)

Firstly I'd like to say, I'm attached! Yeah I think most of you will be like Finally! (Which almost all of our friends did) or for those who didnt know me will be confused whether we were already together or not. So we had a really amazing day out exploring food at Katong and this sneaky boy decided to ask me last night after all the food bribe. Smart move...

E: is this the right time for me to ask you again?
Me: ask what?
E: you know what I want to ask
Me: no?
E: can we be together baby?
Me: I need 3 working days to reply you

HAHAHA sorry baby, I just had to... but anyway yes, I said yes (inserts sheepish emojis x100)

Back to the fun day! Tweeted yesterday morning that I want some Ben's Cookies, and look what I've got here! ^^ so E told me that he forgot his atm card and needed to detour when he was already on the way out. Said to meet him at the place we wanna go but he said he wanna 'pick' me up from my place haha. And 30 minutes later, he texted me to go down, and held up this paper bag (with my favourite double chocolate cookie) the moment I saw him, accompanied with a bottle of my favourite red yakult *swoons so blessed ^^

Walked down Katong (the lane along Katong shopping Centre) to look for food upon reaching, and we passed by Ampang Yong Tau Foo. Decided to give it a try because Nelson told E that it's very nice. But the thing about ampang ytf is that you don't really get to choose the ingredients only can say what you don't want, I think. And it was quite pricey -$9.30 for a set (standard ingredients but we took out what we didn't want), a bowl of rice and a drink. The soup was yummy but I don't think its really worth $9.30?

Chanced upon this dog cafe, We're The Furballs that we always wanted to go (but I always thought it was at ecp) so we decided to chill there after our lunch. Entrance is $10.50 for weekends and it comes with a free drink. I chose some lime tea which was really refreshing and its refillable too! They don't have a time limit or any extra charges as to how long you stay there unlike cat cafes so I think its pretty good?

What's really interesting is that they have an UFO machine for customers to grab some dog treats! The thrill of catching something for the customers and the yummy treats for the doggies, win win situation! For those who know me, you'll know that I went through this ufo machine craze 2 years ago so imagine how excited I was hehe. And also, special wrappers are for specials treats like the little cars wrapper above, it contains the usual dog food with some jerky treats.

This is Pui Pui, the french bulldog. All she cares about is food, and she's really heavy. Tried to put her on my lap, but she keeps running away to where there's more food.

This is Slinky, dressed up as a sausage bun for Halloween! Also quite a glutton, coming to us for treats and eventually ended up settling on E's lap for comfort. E loves for her to go to him cause her sausage costume is like a mini cushion he says it's damn comfortable hahaha such a meanie.

This is Duchess, dressed as Captain America. Same thing, keep coming to E and I for treats but eventually ended up sleeping on my lap. She's also damn soft, super nice to pat. And she's damn smart, always jumping on me when she sees me holding food.

This is Lola, a mini pomeranian that was dressed as a pumpkin. But she's super feisty and doesn't really allow people to carry or touch her unless they are regulars/staff (familiar faces) due to history of being mistreated by customers. There are also 2 other dogs, Lulu and Yuki San, but they were always on the other side of the room.

Goofing around with my trusty fisheye lens as usual. And I really love this selfie E took with Slinky hahaha so adorable!!!!

After feeding the dogs, it was time to feed this big fatty and he was craving so 328 Laksa here we come! Got a bowl to share because we intend to try other stuff too. Stomach not feeling well but nothing is stopping me ^^ Laksa was okay, but we thought the one at Queensway Shopping Centre was nicer.

And of course when in Katong, you gotta have the Punggol Nasi Lemak. E said "huh, but here's Katong leh" when I told him that the Punggol Nasi Lemak here is famous lol BIMBO MOMENT. We had this right after the laksa, btw. Was pretty full but E said "huh but that time I already didn't get to eat my Changi Nasi Lemak" but no regrets la the chicken wing is damn goood!

There's always room for desserts, right? Initially we wanted to have ice cream then E realised soccer was at 2130 instead of 0000, so we wanted to skip ice cream but in the end he decided to skip the match so that we can go have ice cream because he said he didn't wanna deprive me. What nonsense. Was deciding between Bing Bing Ice Cream Gallery or LICK but we chose Bing2 in the end because it was nearer (they are actually along the same lane) I kinda like the mixed berries sorbet that I ordered but the waffle was so so. Quoting E "nothing beats Hatter Street" yes he's a convert now ever since I brought him for his virgin try. And he'd been a waffle addict ever since (he used to not like pastry/confectionery)

So now you know why I said he's been bribing me with food all day (I think he had it all planned) since my motto according to him is food>anything else (which is true), he even said giving me a bunch of broccoli is better than giving me flowers because I'd prefer something useful and edible lolol dat bitch. But he's kind of right? I told him a bunch of kang kong will be better, I can make my favourite sambal kang kong hahaha.

Shall visit Katong again for round 2! Ciaos x
